Interscope Records signee and Bahamian beauty, Alex 242 sounded off on twitter this afternoon! Alex, who just happens to be the daughter of former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition in The Bahamas, the Hon. Perry Christie, revealed that she's back in The Bahamas for the weekend but also went on a rant about rumors about her family and how she got her record deal.

Alex Tweeted:

I have never modeled in my life. Never pursued it !!! EVER!! Studied piano since I was 5 till 17. Always wanted to be a songwriter / singer!

Didn't know so many people believed that rumor!!! Lmao

Now let's kill some more rumors how about that ?! I've been quiet waaaay too long.

U know the one rumor that makes me the maddest? I have even heard members of parliament Speak on this - which I find utterly disgusting.

4 years ago I flew to Atlanta to pursue my dream of landing a recording contract . I knew noone in the USA. I was young and alone

She came to all my studio sessions . Took me to all my rehearsals , was a MOM to me and a manager . And it know what - I got a record deal

Tht was TWO years ago. And at tht time she left Atlanta and went bak home. TWO years ago!!!!

To all the people who hav taken that and made up/ engaged in all the vicious lies that spawned from that - you truly should be ashamed

To the MP who had some of the lowest things to say - you know who u are- you wish u could be HaLf the woman my beautiful mother is !!!!

A lawyer AND an accountant ! Helped me to land a deal DOUBLE the size I expected !!
